Meet Our Staff
Doug Mallers PT, OCS, FAAOMPT
Doug attended Indiana University's Physical Therapy Program where he graduated in 1992. Six years later, he received a post grad Fellowship in Orthopaedic Manual Therapy from the Gulf Coast Graduate School of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapy in Gulfport, MS.
Currently, he is a member of the American Academy Examination Board. He is also a faculty member for the Manual Therapy Institute where he instructs physical therapists in the practice of orthopaedic physical therapy. In his off hours, Doug enjoys sports and spending time with his wife and two boys.
Trenton Swoverland PT, OCS, FAAOMPT
Trenton attended Indiana University, graduating from the Physical Therapy program in 1992. Seven years later, he obtained his Board Certification in Orthopaedics when tested by the American Board of Physical Therapy Examiners. He continued his education by becoming a Certified Orthopaedic Manipulative Therapist in 2002 from North American Institute of Orthopaedic Manual Therapists.
As of 2005, he has been a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists. He is a Clinical Fellowship Instructor with the North American Institute of Orthopaedic Manual Therapist instructing physical therapists in Orthopaedic Manual Therapy.
When Trenton is not at work, he is usually found with his wife and four children, at a sporting event, at the gym, or involved with church. He enjoys assisting or watching his children's extra-curricular activities.
Lisa Saxe, PT, DPT, MTC
Lisa joined the practice in 2007 and was made partner in 2013. She graduated in 2000 with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy. She earned her manual therapy certification (MTC) in 2004 from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences and completed the Doctor of Physical Therapy program in 2012. In her off hours, Lisa loves spending time with her daughter Ellie and son Finn. Lisa is very involved in her children's activities, she enjoys watching Ellie compete in gymnastics and Finn play football. Lisa's other favorite pastimes are running, watching IU basketball, and the Green Bay Packers football.
Paula Noll PT, MHS, DPT, FAAOMPT
Paula joined the practice in January of 2007. She graduated from The Chicago Medical School in 1988. She has been practicing orthopaedic physical therapy since that time. She completed her post-professional master's degree from the University of Indianapolis in 1997. She completed her manual therapy residency and Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2007 and completed her fellowship with the Ola Grimsby Institute in late 2008. In her free time, Paula enjoys knitting, silversmithing, running and spending time with her husband.
Rebecca Merritt PT, DPT, MTC
Rebecca, a Fort Wayne native, joined the practice in Feb. 2009. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Coastal Carolina University in May 1999. She attended graduate school at the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences and earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in December 2002. Rebecca also obtained her Manual Therapy Certification (MTC) from the University of St. Augustine in January 2004. In her spare time, Rebecca enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter and son, running, playing volleyball, working outside in the warmer months and traveling.
Gail Elliott, PT, MHS, OCS, COMT, FAAOMPT
Gail is a graduate of Michigan State University then Northwestern University Programs in Physical Therapy. She pursued an Advanced Master's in Orthopedic Physical Therapy from University of Indianapolis. She has a special love for Orthopedic Manual Therapy and has completed certifications in Manual Therapy through Gulf Coast Physical Therapy Institute and most recently the North American Institute of Manual Therapy.
She and her husband Gary enjoy golf, bicycling, camping, and boating on Lake Michigan. She is an avid reader and always has a book on the go. Gary and Gail have 3 children, Kristen, Daniel and Matthew.
Allison Colligan, PT, DPT
Allison, a Fort Wayne native, joined the team in May 2017. She graduated from the University of Indianapolis in May 2017 with her Doctorate of Physical Therapy. She enjoys traveling and spending time outside. Most of Allison's free time revolves around the 4 Fs: faith, family, friends, and football.
Kristin Collins, PT, DPT, COMT
Kristin joined Mallers & Swoverland in 2015 as a staff physical therapist, but worked for the practice 10 years prior as a technician while attending the University of Saint Francis. There she obtained her Bachelor of Science in Biology while playing collegiate softball. Following graduation Kristin attended Indiana University on the IUPUI campus to pursue her Doctorate of Physical Therapy, which she completed in 2010.
Kristin has experience working in acute care hospitals, rehabilitation facilities and skilled nursing facilities, but she has spent the majority of her career working in the outpatient orthopedic field. Kristin is a certified orthopedic manual therapist through Maitland-Australian Physiotherapy Seminars. Outside of work, Kristin loves spending time with her family and friends. She enjoys running outdoors, snowboarding, traveling, and working on the latest house project.
Diane Martin PT, DPT
Diane has been the PRN therapist for Mallers & Swoverland PT since they opened their doors in 2002. Diane completed her Bachelors in Physical Therapy in 1977 at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. In 2010, she completed her DPT at Boston University. Diane is an Associate Professor in the PTA program at the University of Saint Francis as well as teaching Service Learning and Tai Chi and Wellness at USF. She is a certified Tai Chi Fundamentals instructor and enjoys using it with clients with arthritis, fibromyalgia and others who have problems with other forms of conventional exercise.
Diane and her family have a passion for short term missions with the Mission of Hope in Haiti. She is active in the women's discipleship at The Chapel as well as the Outreach Department. She loves being outdoors, riding her bike, walking-particularly on the beach.
Jackie Morris, Office Manager
Jackie graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science from Ball State University. She joined Mallers & Swoverland in September of 2004 and became the practice Office Manager in January 2015. Outside the office, Jackie enjoys traveling to Ball State, Trine, and Middle Tennessee State to visit her girls, spending time with her fiancé & family, running and participating in a women's bible study at Pathway Community Church.
Adrienne Urschel, Administrative Assistant
Adrienne is a Fort Wayne native, who graduated from Ivy Tech in 2007 with an Associate's degree in Medical Assisting. Adrienne has worked at Mallers & Swoverland since 2005 and is the administrative assistant at the SW clinic. She loves spending time with her husband, her dogs, Marley a goldendoodle & Lacey a cocker spaniel. She loves connecting with family and friends & doing adventurous things.
Judy Foust, Administrative Assistant
Judy is an administrative assistant at our Northeast clinic, and newest member of our support staff. She came to Mallers & Swoverland with previous experience working at a regional medical billing office, where she also trained employees in customer service. When Judy isn't working, she enjoys spending time with her husband and family, playing the violin, reading, and taking long walks.
Angela Ditaway, Administrative Assistant
Angela joined the practice in November 2015 at our North location. She has a strong work background in medical insurance and finance administration. Currently she is attending Ivy Tech Community College working on A.A.S in Business/Office Administration. Angelais a wife and mother of 3. In her pastime she enjoys reading, singing at her local church, spending time with her family & taking long family road trips.
Angel Eisenhauer, Administration Assistant
Angel is a graduate from Trine University with a Bachelor's of Science in the field of Communication. She recently moved back to her hometown of Fort Wayne, IN from San Antonio, TX, with her husband, and now works for Mallers and Swoverland part-time while also helping to run her charity organization known as the Summit City Cause-Players - a group that provides superheroes and characters from pop culture to help raise awareness for humanitarian causes and support local charity and community events. Angel feels blessed to be able to serve her community in a wide range of areas, and believes in making Fort Wayne a better place!
